Here's another hat that I'm making for Jenni and Erin. As I said in the previous blog, Jenni gave me a link for the hat instructions and it's really fun. The pattern asks for brown yarn for the hat, more of a lime green I think for the eyes with white, plus an orange nose so I bought those colors today. Cute, huh>?

Pink Owl Hat
Jenni sent me a link to instructions to make an owl beanie. I had a lot of pink so I decided to practice first. Turned out pretty cute. I sent a text message/picture to Erin and she loved it so I'm giving it to her to give a new baby girl. I'm starting to make two more in brown for Jenni and Erin. I love to crochet. I'm so happy I found something that I really love to do at this time of my life. It's really fun being home with my Dave but still doing things that others like. Really makes me happy!!!

Juicing
I go to the Hansen's house mostly once a week sometimes 2 but not often. Here are a couple of pictures. I love going there. Suzanne is in a wheelchair but she is always cheerful and a just all around cutie. I love her and her husband so much. I think going there is more for me than for them. I feel blessed every time I go there and feel uplifted when I leave. Such wonderful people.

On Wings of Faith (finished)
Well, I finished the book. I'm so thankful I was able to borrow it. It really opened my eyes even more to what my family went through. Another person that was mentioned was Brother Walter Stover. He gave Mamma and Pappa both jobs at his factory. We lived right next to the factory and they both just could walk to their jobs in the mornings. Brother Stover did so many wonderful things for the Germans, being a German himself. He was a sponsor for many so they could come to America. What a great man. Pappa didn't care for him much BUT that's probably because he really liked Mamma and he was pretty rich. Mamma told me once that when she quit and got a job at Guild, Inc. Brother Stover and Mamma both cried. So sweet. Anyway, I need to look this book up on Amazon.com and see if I can purchase it. It's a keeper.

On Wings of Faith
A sister in our ward gave the TOT lesson on Sunday. The lesson brought tears to my eyes because it was on helping others and service in Germany. Sister Frandsen read out of "On Wings of Faith" written by Frederick Babbel (to lazy to go look if that's right). He told of his experiences with Ezra Taft Benson in the European countries right after the war and the horror they saw especially in Berlin. I didn't even know she knew I was from there but then I figured Hildi gets up and talks about it in her testimony so I'm sure that helped her figure it out. She read a story about a man by the name of Otto Berndt who I knew growing up. He and his wife were in our ward when we lived on Logan Avenue. What a thrill to read his name and the things he did. Sister Frandsen asked me if I wanted to borrow the book and I, of course, was delighted when she asked me because the book is old and I'm sure not on the shelves to purchase anymore. As I read it, I feel the spirit so strong and just cry. It makes me sad what these faithful people went through, my parents and sisters included. Their bodies so frail and starving and still they did all they could to walk to where an Apostle of the Lord was speaking. My testimony gets strengthened each time I read of these experiences. The Germans were just so hated but it wasn't their fault. It's the people at the top that make the laws, rules and war. The little people just want to live their lives and make their families happy. I'm very grateful for loving parents. What a legacy they left for me and for you. I hope and pray that I can stand as a witness as both of my parents have done no matter what the circumstance. They truly are Latter Day Saints!

Hat
Here's a bear ear hat like the post before but it's for a toddler and it has flaps with pom pom's. I learned this on Pinterest too. The flowers I put on the post before this one were soooo much fun to make. Pinterest is great. I'm thinking if Boston likes this hat, it will be for him.
So, Juli said she loved the hat for Boston but thought it would be cute with a face. Soooooo, here's an idea. Should I attach it forever or not?
