Kennedy's Birthday Party

I drove up to West Point to go to Kennedy's Birthday party/Super Bowl party. It was so much fun. Here's Kennedy's cute cake Juli made.

Little Kennedy and Reagan are having so much fun playing together.

Cute little Beesley's.

I took some pictures of this cute little girl and Oakley.

They were ready to give each other a hug

But fell over in the process.

This is cute Oakley giving Afton a hug.

Pretty Juli and Tiffany. Robyn and her family didn't come until later so I wasn't able to get a picture of them together. It's because I forgot.

My Gitti

My Gitti is here visiting from California. It is soooo much fun to have her here. On Monday Gitti, Kaye Derrick and I went to lunch and to a movie. We had such a nice time. When Gitti and I got home, I taught her how to make a hat and now she can't stop. She loves it. It really is habit forming. I'm glad she loves it. Last night we had Thursday Night Dinner again. As luck should have it, I forgot to take pictures but I do have pictures from the other day of just Gitti and I. I really do love her so much!

Sister Missionaries

We've had Sister Missionaries in our area for quite a while. There was one from Mongolia who has been transferred so her companion got a brand new companion originally from the Dominican Republic and now lives in Philadelphia with her family. We got really close fast and she was released after being in our area after just six weeks. We just knew her for 3 of those weeks. I just cried when she called me. They came over so Sister Estevez could say good-bye so I had a little present for her. I gave her a fuzzy big pink Webkin monkey, a lazer light so she could find her way back to me and a heart necklace. Here's a picture of her and me and then a picture of Sister Gould and us.

I just can't believe how fast we became friends. I'll miss her immensely.

Sister Gould on the right has a beautiful singing voice. She made a CD with another sister and she's going to bring me a copy. She also promised to bring her new companion over for us to meet. I'm looking forward to that.

Deep Fried Snickers

Here's fun recipe I got from Dave's Physical Therapist, Jen. She's a different one from the one I made the hat for. I haven't tried it yet but she says it's really good. So, here you go!

Fried Snickers

8-10 candy bars-freeze at least 3hrs.
1 1/2 c. flour
2 quarts veg. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 TBLS white vinegar

Freeze candy bars @ least 3 hrs.
Heat oil 375 degrees
Put 1/2 c. flour on plate
Put remaining flour in bowl w/baking soda, & salt
Combine milk, vinegar, & 1 TBLS oil w/above ingredients & stir
Dip candy bars in flour & coat w/mixture
Place in oil & fry until golden brown
Dust w/powdered sugar after removing them from oil

If you make them before I do, let me know how they work out.
