Done! (except for trim)

YIPPEE!!! I'm DONE!

Finally, I'm done and I love it so much. Not the actual work but the room. It looks so pretty. I just need to do the trim in about a week when it's completely dry. I will put tape everywhere because I don't want to have to be careful anymore. Here are some pictures. I'm glad you can't see close up because this is my first room. Lot's of little oopsie daisies.

Sorry that this next picture is so dark. I made sure I closed the blinds and that the flash was working and it still looks dark. Oh well, believe me, it's pretty.

Pretty nice, eh? Thanks for all the encouragement!

Mama Mia!

Monday night Kay Derrick and I went to see Mama Mia. We had so much fun laughing at this adorable movie. I noticed, while we were falling on each other in a fit of laughter, that the people sitting a few seats away from Kay looked like they were watching a documentary on "You and Your Spleen" and that made us laugh even harder. Of course we couldn't find her car after the movie. It took us about 10 minutes because we came out a different door of the theater and we got a little turned around. Two old ladies walking around the parking lot muttering "where's the car, where's the car?" Oh well, old age, what can ya do?

Monday and Tuesday Visitors

Tuesday Juli and her little ones dropped in. I loved hearing the door open and the sounds of little ones running up the stairs. For some reason, I didn't get a picture of Afton. I'm sorry Afton, next time I'll take several of you, OK?

I love it when my kids just drop in and bring their kids to visit Omi and Opa. We all have a good time together. Here are a few pictures of their visit! This was Monday with Robyn and her 5 happy bunch!

Half is DONE, whew!

Ok, so I moved the bed to start cleaning and this is what I found. Scared me at first until I realized it was from either Kaleb's or Jordan's plastic bugs I gave them. That alone made me not want to paint. I just wanted to go and shudder some where for a while BUT I continued getting ready to paint.

I finally have half of the bedroom painted. Only the top half. This little teenie room (top half only) took me 3 hours. I know, it's sad! I started crying in the middle of the whole thing and called Jenni back! "I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS ANY MORE!!! YOU SAID IT WOULD BE FUN, AND IT'S NOT!!!!!"

Jenni said "Mom, you can do this." SO, I forged a head and what do you know?

Half of the bedroom is done and that's only one coat. Iwas not having a good time yet.
Now that I look at the pictures, I really don't want to do any more.

Fishlers home

We went to the Stan and Darlene Fishlers home today to take a wedding shower gift because we couldn't be there Sunday. We knew them all in Portland. It was so great to see them.

I took pictures, I promise

Well, I'll have to post pictures later. I took pictures of the bedroom to give you an idea what it looks like now and then take pictures again when it's done BUT...they were HUGE so I'll have to do it again later. We're on our way to see the Fishlers so I will take pictures of our day and try to post them also. I'm HAVING FUN!!!

Taking it VERY slow!

Well, here are a few before pictures of the downstairs bedroom that I want to paint. If I paint as well as a take pictures we're all in for a good time.
